Your Data & Deletion Requests

Grison Press keeps only the information needed to run this website, our mailing list, and our advance reader program. You can ask us to delete personal information we hold about you at any time — using the form below or by email — and we will confirm the outcome by replying to you.

What we may hold about you

  • Mailing list — your email address, optional name, where and when you signed up, your email preferences (consent scopes), and unsubscribe history.
  • Contact form — the name, email address, topic, and message you submitted.
  • Reader reviews — the display name, rating, review text, and optional email you provided.
  • Advance reader (ARC) program — your email, name, the releases you were invited to or downloaded, and feedback you sent.
  • Website analytics — page views and link clicks linked to a random visit identifier stored in a cookie, plus referral parameters, country, and device/browser information. See our privacy policy for the full list.

Request deletion

Submit the form below, or email [email protected] with the subject Data deletion request. Requests are reviewed by a person — this is not an automated process.

  • Tell us the email address the request applies to — that is how we locate your mailing-list record, messages, reviews, and reader-program entries.
  • We verify requests by replying to that email address; you must be able to receive mail there.
  • We confirm the outcome by email once the deletion is complete, normally within a few weeks.

What may be kept

Some information can be retained where we have a legitimate operational or legal reason. In particular, we may keep:

  • a minimal suppression record (your email address and unsubscribe timestamp) so our systems do not email you again — this is kept specifically to honor your opt-out;
  • records we are required to keep for tax, legal, or contractual reasons;
  • copies inside encrypted backups until those backups expire on their normal schedule.

Aggregate statistics (for example, “how many readers clicked this link”) do not identify you and are not affected.

Unsubscribe instead

If you only want to stop email, you do not need to delete anything — every Grison Press email contains an unsubscribe link, and you can manage scoped preferences from the link in any message. Unsubscribing stops future email; deleting removes your record entirely.

Facebook and Instagram data

Grison Press uses a private internal application (“GrisonAdsMCP”) to manage our own Facebook Pages and Instagram professional accounts — publishing posts we have approved and reading aggregate engagement statistics such as reach, views, and reaction counts. That application is not offered to the public, no Meta user accounts are connected to it, and we do not receive or store your Meta profile data, friends list, or messages through it.

Because we do not hold Meta profile data about you, there is usually nothing for us to delete on Meta's behalf. To manage the data Meta itself holds about you:

  • Facebook: Settings & privacy → Settings → Your information, and Apps and websites to review or remove any app you have connected to your account.
  • Instagram: Settings → Apps and websites under Website permissions.
  • You can also request your data or its deletion directly from Meta via Meta's data request form.

If you believe we hold Meta-related data about you anyway, include it in your request above and we will investigate and respond.
